About

Investing at the intersection of real estate, private equity and structured solutions

Overview

Formed in 2017 by Jarret Cohen, Jadian is an investment firm targeting opportunities in real estate and related assets and companies.  The Firm pursues a value-oriented approach, investing opportunistically in traditional as well as alternative sectors.  Currently, Jadian manages a diverse portfolio of debt and equity positions, spanning multiple asset classes and geographies.  Focused primarily in North America, the Firm seeks overlooked or misunderstood investment themes related to real estate in order to generate the most attractive risk-adjusted returns available.

We value long-term relationships and seek to partner with talented management teams and partners who are passionate about their business, are looking for more than just capital, and with whom we share a vision for value creation.

History

Prior to forming Jadian, Mr. Cohen was Head of Private Real Estate and a Partner at Fir Tree Partners.  Mr. Cohen joined Fir Tree in 2010 to establish and build its private real estate business. During Mr. Cohen’s tenure, Fir Tree invested in a broad set of traditional and alternative real estate sectors, and across capital structures of assets and companies.

Fir Tree's real estate fund business was founded in 2008 by Jim Walker and Andrew Fredman.  Mr. Walker, previously a Managing Partner at Fir Tree through 2016, joined Jadian in 2018 as a Senior Partner.  Mr. Fredman, previously Fir Tree's Chief Investment Officer and Managing Partner through 2015, became a Strategic Partner of Jadian in 2018 through IngleSea Capital, his family office investment firm.  Jadian provides asset management services for the remaining private investments of Fir Tree Real Estate Fund III.
